The Master of Social Work degree is one of the most highly recognized degrees in health and human services, opening the door for employment opportunities in health care, child and family services, mental health and a variety of other exciting career fields. Both Texas Woman's University (TWU) and the University of North Texas (UNT) have had continually accredited, strong Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.) degree programs since the mid-1970s. These two B.S.W. programs have worked closely together for decades and see the joint M.S.W. as a continuation and deepening of this relationship.
This program is designed for students who are planning on applying to graduate school. This one hour workshop is intended to help you get ready to navigate the graduate school application process. An example of topics covered includes entrance exams, securing letters of recommendation and personal statements. This program is free and open to current UNT students and staff. Registration is not required, but spots do fill up quickly and are on a first come, first serve basis. To ensure a seat, we recommend you arrive 10-15 minutes early.
